Our Kitchens
The cookery school was purpose built for our needs in 2009 and offers a modern space from which to enjoy your cookery training.
Our kitchens are fitted out with all of the equipment you wil need to complete your course..
Mediterranean & Dartmoor Kitchens
These kitchens have high ceiling and natural light with four workstations with a capacity for 16 students.
A chef demonstration area is equipped with a large 4k screen so you can see close up work from a distance.
Workstations are fully equipped with knives and pans, and 2 students each share an oven, gas hob, induction hob and sink. The kitchen has a walk-in fridge for storage of produce. The room opens out onto a theory and dining room which also has it's own terrace patio.
Fusion Kitchen
The Fusion kitchen has capacity for ten students and is on the first floor. With it's high church ceiling and windows it feels open and bright.
Movable granite workstations provide a flexible working space in front of the chef demonstration area, with ovens and hobs arranged around the outside. The chef demo station is equipped with multiple 4k video screens.
This kitchen is where our Patisserie Diploma and courses run from as the large granite workstations are ideal for working with chocolate, or kneading bread.
Dining Rooms
Each of our training kitchens have their own dedicated Dining Room directly off them. These are multi-purpose rooms which can be used for chef demos, or theory sessions.
When you arrive for your course in the morning you will start off in the dining room with tea/coffee where the chef tutor will talk through the course content for the day.

We are located in the picturesque Georgian market town of Ashburton on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The county of Devon is one of Europe's finest food regions and you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to food producers, farmer's markets, restaurants and some great pubs.
