You’ll start by preparing the traditional steamed bao dough, learning how to shape and cook it to achieve that signature pillowy texture. Then, you’ll create two delicious fillings with bold Asian flavours:
- Minced Pork with Black Beans & Fresh Ginger – A rich and savoury classic.
- Shredded Chicken with Sweet Chilli, Soy, Garlic & Peanuts – Sweet, spicy and deeply satisfying.
You’ll also make a crunchy pickled vegetable garnish, using rice wine vinegar, to add balance and texture to your bao.
All fillings can be adapted for pescatarians and vegetarians, and our expert tutors will guide you with tips and techniques throughout.
At the end of the session, you’ll leave with 8–10 filled bao buns and your pickled vegetables – perfect for enjoying at home or sharing with friends.
