Sophisticated, stylish and beautifully presented - Japanese
cooking is truly 'food as art'. This class is designed
to provide you with an insight into the art of Japanese food
- and to dispel the myth that Sushi is just about raw fish.
The food is deceptively simple to prepare and very healthy,
The cooking methods - boiling, grilling, baking, baking and
steaming- have very little added fat, include no heavy sauces
and make use of subtle seasoning to enhance the foods natural
flavour. Even the simplest meal, including breakfast, includes
at least one soup and rice. The many beautifully prepared
dishes are served all at once and small portions are taken
from each dish at random. This course will equip you to prepare
your own dinner parties and also to know your etiquette when
dining out. You can also enter the eat-japan competition held
annually in the UK!
